Aline Weber, Jourdan Dunn & Sui He - Muse Winter 2012
Hi all, just got back from two weeks in Canada and thought I would start off with a post featuring three of my fave models Aline Weber, Jourdan Dunn & Sui He. This is for the winter 2012 issue of Muse magazine and all the ladies look so great. These models have similar face shapes and I just love these covers. The cover featuring Aline Weber was shot by Ben Weller and styled by Beth Fenton. Jourdan Dunn was shot by Guy Aroch and Sui He was shot by Chen Man and styled by Tim Lim.

Chanel Iman - XOXO November 2012
Hey I'm finally back blogging, so it’s only right that I start off with an editorial featuring one of my favourite models Chanel Iman. This editorial entitled 'Rising Sun' is for the November 2012 issue of XOXO magazine. I am obsessed with anything that is retro inspired, but what I love the most about this editorial is just how chic and amazing Chanel looks. Chanel is a very cute model and sometimes people forget that she is diverse and is also a really good high fashion model. Even though this editorial is not the most high fashion shoot, it shows me that Chanel has really improved as a model and it’s just stunning. This editorial was shot by the talented Mike Rosenthal and styled by Kusum Lynn featuring the designs of Miu Miu, Alexis Bittar, The Row and Carven. The hair stylist Moiz Alladina also did a great job as did Regine Thorre, who was the make-up artist.

Look Back - Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2011
I said on a few occasions how much I love retro inspired things. So I thought that the Bottega Veneta Pre-fall 2011 collection would be great for this edition of ‘Look Back'.
This is one of those simple and chic collections. What I really liked about this collection was that as classy and sophisticated as it was, there was still a playful twist. The hair and the make-up were perfect and I loved the gloves and the great bags. The styling was just what really made me love this collection. However, I did find myself being disappointed that there was not more pieces to the collection. Here is the full show. Enjoy!!!

Focus On - Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs
(Marc Jacobs backstage at Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2009 show)
- Jacobs enrolled at Parsons School of Design. For his graduation project, he designed a collection of oversized hand-knit sweaters, which he sold to Charivari.
- In 1984, Jacobs was hired by the clothing manufacturer Reuben Thomas, Inc., for which he designed the Sketchbook label.
- In 1986, Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy (an executive at Reuben Thomas Inc) established a partnership and Jacobs showed his first collection bearing the Marc Jacobs label.
- In 1987, he became the youngest designer ever to receive the CFDA's Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent.
- In 1988 Jacobs was named vice president of women’s design at Perry Ellis, where he worked till 1993.
- In 1993, Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy launched their own licensing and design company, and in April 1994, Jacobs showed his comeback collection.
- In 1997, he was named creative director of Louis Vuitton.
- In the spring of 2001, Jacobs introduced his secondary line, Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Marc Jacobs is another one of those designers that does so much. He has three collections that he designs for, yet the great ideas keep coming. One thing I like about Marc is that he is not afraid to use colour we always see great colour pallets from his collections. He is a designer whose collections I'm always excited to see and who I always expect a lot from because I know he has the ability to produce great collections.

I honestly don’t know what my favourite Marc Jacobs collection is, there are so many to pick from. The one I decided to go with was the Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection. My reason for picking this show was that I really enjoyed it. Its definitely not the best Marc Jacobs collection, but I loved the concept, the train was beautiful and I think it’s one of the better ideas for a show that I have seen. I also really loved the bags in this show I wanted every single one. This show made me so happy when I saw it, I hope you enjoy. Marc Jacobs I love you.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I have been so busy but I will start
blogging regularly soon. I will definitely be going through my favourites from
fashion week, but for now I thought I would do a 'Focus on Post' of one of my
favourite designers. Enjoy!!!
