Chanel Iman - XOXO November 2012

Hey I'm finally back blogging, so it’s only right that I start off with an editorial featuring one of my favourite models Chanel Iman. This editorial entitled 'Rising Sun' is for the November 2012 issue of XOXO magazine. I am obsessed with anything that is retro inspired, but what I love the most about this editorial is just how chic and amazing Chanel looks. Chanel is a very cute model and sometimes people forget that she is diverse and is also a really good high fashion model. Even though this editorial is not the most high fashion shoot, it shows me that Chanel has really improved as a model and it’s just stunning. This editorial was shot by the talented Mike Rosenthal and styled by Kusum Lynn featuring the designs of Miu Miu, Alexis Bittar, The Row and Carven. The hair stylist Moiz Alladina also did a great job as did Regine Thorre, who was the make-up artist.

The thing I like the most about Kasia is she is a very original beauty. I have not really seen anyone who looks like her. You may find models with similar features like her amazing jawline and cheekbones, but her look is so original. She truly is stunning and has the ability to give so many looks in her photos.

The photo shoot that I first noticed Kasia was the October 2009 issue of Harper's Bazaar. It was a really simple shoot, but it really stuck in my head and that’s how I knew she was a really good model. For like a week after a I saw those pictures I just could not get them out of my head, and I think that is something that’s really good about Kasia, she is able to engage you with even the simplest of shots.

The thing I love the most about Daphne are her lips and her ability to transform. She looks different In every picture I see of her, and she brings something new to every shoot, we never see the same expression from her and she has the ability to take the most gorgeous photos that make you stop and stare.
(i-D Magazine March 2012: Richard Bush - Photographer, Sarah Richardson - Fashion Editor/Stylist)

I first really took notice of Daphne when I saw the Numero June/ July 2011 cover & editorial. I was blow away, the editorial which was called 'Wild Thing' had a tribal fashion theme & there was wild hair & an excessive amount of accessories, but the thing that really got to me was, through all of those things Daphne stood out & not only did she stand out, but she made me want to buy everything in that editorial, and I love it when a model is able to do that because they are securing more jobs for themselves while pleasing the client. I loved this editorial so much that I had to post almost all the pictures. The first two are my favourite pictures.

Valerija Kelava - Russh Magazine June/July 2012

This editorial 'I Don’t think I’m Ever Gonna Figure You Out' made me stop for a few minutes, I was drawn in by the slick hair and minimally make up. It's very Intimate and sensual, and a little bit edgy. The model is Valerija Kelava and the photographer is Nick Dorey. The stylist, Hanna Kelifa created the perfect looks with pieces from Theyskens, Haider Ackermann, American Apparel, Christopher Kane, Antonio Berardi, Miu Miu and Jil Sander and others.
